Now that I have started my new editorial calendar, I am finding it really hard to fill Wednesday with content. It’s amazing what a little structure can do to your life.
This week as I trolled the internet I kept running into some great posts by my contemporary’s here in DC. I realized that I was putting too much emphasis on pushing myself to post today and sometimes you do have to let the post come to you. Without further adieu, here are the posts by fellow DC bloggers that struck a chord with me this week.
Binge Eating: How I Learned to Say No from The Sweet Life
This post popped up this morning by Ericka. Ericka gives some great tips to avoid binge eating. her suggestions are great because as she points out, binge eating isn’t just something people with eating disorders struggle with. Binge eating is also something that many regular people with an emotional eating struggle with too.
How I do Pull Ups in CrossFit from JessRuns
I love this post by Jess because tells reads how she does pull ups during CrossFit. Now I am not a Crossfitter, but I love group fitness and being able to challenge myself. I’ll be the first to admit, I cannot do a pull up. This post gave me some great suggestions to a modification that makes pull ups a reality in my fitness book.
4 Ingredient Tempeh Taco Filling from Beth’s Journey
This post by Beth is almost a month old, but it has completely mixed up our weekly meals. This recipe is so simple, so delicious and so filling. I think Jay and I have made it at least 3 times since Beth posted it.
Sometimes I Just Want To Feel Sexy from Carly Bananas
This post is actually in response to a post by Carla (yay for a new blog in my reader!). I loved this post and Carla’s. They make such great points about how women are viewed, how we let ourselves be viewed and how we view ourselves.
America is wasting billions sitting in crushing traffic from NBC news
This article made me really thankful that I ride the metro to work each day. Bottom-line, DC has the worst traffic second year in a row.
